TERMS AND CONDITIONS



JH Dance Academy are dedicated to inspiring students by developing their dance technique, building their confidence, and allowing students to reach their full potential. We promote a friendly, motivational, and happy environment.

 

We kindly ask that all participants adhere to the terms and conditions below:


Enrolment

1:        Parents and guardians must complete JHDA’s online enrolment forms.

2:        All students, parents and guardians must adhere to JHDA’s Terms & Conditions and Code of Conduct.

3:        On completion of enrolment, an account will be made for students, parents, and guardians. This will grant us permission               to contact you via email, telephone, and postal address from the information you provide.

4:        New students are offered one trial session, charged at the class fee rate. If your child wishes to continue, please notify                   JHDA via email or telephone. Your child will then be enrolled on the relevant class/es and an invoice will be issued for the               remainder of the half term.

5:        Parents and guardians must notify us via email of any changes to contact details, emergency contact details and/or                         medical information to enable us to keep up-to-date information for the safety of your child.

 

Class Fees

6:        Invoices are sent out in advance for each half term.

7:        Invoices are due monthly, via bank transfer on the 1st of every month.

8:        New students should pay using the invoice issued upon registration/enrolment after the trial class.

9:        Students with outstanding fees will not be permitted to take part in classes until fees are paid in full.

10:      Refunds will not be given for non-attendance.

11:      Refunds will not be given where a class must be cancelled and rescheduled.

12:      Refunds that are granted, will be issued as an account credit, which can be used to pay future invoices, unless the student             is leaving JH Dance Academy and given 1 months’ notice.

13:      Additional charges for e.g., exams, shows, uniform, will be invoiced individually and accordingly.

14:      Class fees are reviewed annually, and JHDA reserves the right to change class fee rates.

Register, Attendance and Absence

16:      A register for each class is maintained by the teacher who records student attendance for the purposes of health and                     safety and security.

17.      If a class is cancelled due to the sickness of the teacher, a health epidemic, pandemic, infectious

           disease or any other unforeseen event, then classes may be rescheduled. This could be on a different day and time to the             original timetable or involve an extension to the term time dates. No refund will be given.

18:      JHDA reserves the right to alter/substitute the curriculum, timetable, and faculty without notice.

 

Force Majeure

19:      JHDA are unable to provide refunds for any cancelled or missed classes due to a Force Majeure Event.

           A Force Majeure refers to any event beyond our reasonable control including and without limitation, acts of God,                             interruption of power or other utility, acts of civil or military authority, national emergencies, explosion, flood, accident,                   earthquake or other catastrophe, fire, notifiable disease, pandemic, war or riot.

20:      JHDA shall not be liable to customers should they fail to perform their obligations of this contract as a result of a Force                   Majeure Event. JHDA will provide written notice to all customers and all closures will be effective immediately.

 

Late Payment

21:      The payer will receive written notice if payment has not been received in accordance with these terms and conditions.

22:      JHDA reserves the right to charge a late payment fee if an invoice remains unpaid after the first class or a new term.

 

Change Classes, Withdrawal and Cancellation of Attendance

23:      If a student decides to withdraw from classes, then a month’s notice is required via email.

           The student will then begin their cancellation period until the end of the subsequent month, then their place will be                         withdrawn. Students are welcome to attend during their cancellation period and fees are still expected to be paid.

24:      Students are automatically re-enrolled each term unless formal written notice of withdrawal or change of class have been             made via email.

25:      JHDA reserve the right to cancel classes at any time. You will be informed by text/email of any cancellations and any                         classes cancelled by JHDA will be reimbursed on the subsequent invoice run.

26:      If the government impose a Lockdown in where JHDA are unable to operate, the cancelled classes for the remainder of                   the half term will automatically move online and fees already paid will be used to cover said online classes. JHDA will                       text/email exact details out in these circumstances.

 

Appropriate Physical Contact

27:      Appropriate physical contact may be necessary when giving corrections or first aid. Teachers are DBS registered, qualified             through the International Dance Teachers Association, and first aid trained.

 

Visual and Social Media

28:      JHDA may take photographs/film footage/audio of students for promotional material on JHDA’s website and public social              media accounts. If you do not wish for your child to be photographed or filmed, please contact the Dance School Principal,            Miss Jenny at jenny.jhda@hotmail.co.uk.

 

Code of Conduct

29:      A Code of Conduct will be issued to students, parents, and guardians. Failure to observe this may result in students being             asked to leave. JHDA reserves the right to refuse any student prior to or after enrolment. No refund will be given if the                     Code of Conduct has been invoked.

 

Content

30:      JHDA reserves the right to alter the advertised dance curriculum and teaching staff without prior notice.

 

Data Protection

31:      JHDA abide by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018, when collecting and using your personal information               for lawful reasons, including sharing information outside of JH Dance Academy.

 

32:      JHDA will not disclose your information to other organisations, except where we are required to do so by law, or where                   you have given your permission to do so. 

 

33:      The privacy and security of your personal information is extremely important to JHDA. We review how long we keep                         personal information on our system, for legal purposes. We take special care to protect and respect your privacy and                       security by making sure the only people that have access to it are senior employees of JHDA.

Changes to the Terms and Conditions

34:      JHDA reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time for the benefit of the business, staff, and                         students.
